Oak Harbor High School Defend Bowling Championship Wins Division I

Shorewood High School Defends Bowling Championship Wins Division II

Oak Harbor Team #2 Soars to Championship in Division III

Defending State Champions, Oak Harbor High School and Shorewood High School successfully defended their titles today at the 47th Annual Washington State Bowling Proprietors’ Association (WSBPA), State High School Varsity Bowling Championships. The two-day event was held at Kenmore Lanes (7638 NE Bothell Way, Kenmore, WA.

28 Teams in 3 divisions competed for the State Championship along with
45 bowlers in a singles event.

Emerging victorious in the team divisions were:

* Oak Harbor                          Division I

* Shorewood (Seattle)  Division II

* Oak Harbor                          Division III

More than 100 high schools statewide participated in the competition through leagues at their local level from October 1, 2011, through February 1, 2012. The top 1 to 5 teams from each league, based on team averages, were invited to this weekend’s State Championships.

The 2013 Championships will be held at Acme Bowl in Tukwila, Washington,
in mid-February, 2013.
